Brian Walton
Toneboosters Pro EQ is less than the upgrade price here and certainly worth a look. Certainly has some features FabFilter doesn't and has a great UI (unlike Kirchhoff)
jesse g
Sorry JT, Thanks for letting me know I'm a goof ball for posting the upgrade price. Brian , this was only a post about a sale, not a debate about which one is best, however, I do love using the Kirchhoff!! It's not for us hoarders who open DAWs just for the plugins to scan.

The point being that even at an upgrade price - there are alternatives that one might consider looking at. The ToneBoosters pro being one of them that many don't know about (never posted here because those products don't go on sale). Kirchhoff has an annoying UI, IMO but sounds great. At the revised price, the TB4 Pro is 1/2 the price of this basically. Edited 19 hours ago by Brian Walton
Michael Docy
It is also $134.25 directly from the Fab Filter web page.

My definition of a good price may not be your definition of a good price, therefore , that allows my statement to be fair for all to receive. Good combo of UI, Features, Workflow, Sound quality and CPU consumption (and reasonable authorization system). Most consider this to be the standard by which all other EQs of its type are measured by. That said, to my point above - I personally think at half the sale price of this the ToneBoosters PRO is every bit a worthy rival and ticks those boxes as well.

I think it's mostly that tbf, although I'm sure it's not too shabby, I have heard good things about the toneboosters one. there are other good ones out there. Be sure to look at the ToneBoosters Pro one, it is different than the "v4" and just came out a couple months ago that most people know about. It seems very advanced and useful. Just not sure I am that sort of surgical EQ type person who needs to see a live view of what its doing to the signal. The more I use these software eq's the more I find i gravitate towards things with knobs and coloration. My most used ones are IK EQ81 and the Softube Class A. If I need to see what is happening to the signal I plop FL parametric eq on it to see. Edited 11 hours ago by Nitrate Audio
