John Bradley
I’d be happy if the Arturia Software Center didn’t take an hour to update the V Collection whenever I allow it to do so. And didn’t render my computer useless during that time by constantly stealing keyboard focus from whatever other window I’m trying to work in. Oh yeah.....ASC is always sooooooooooo slllllllllooooooooooooowwwww at doing just about anything. I never bother to allow any updates any more for that reason. Any brand that has collections or bundles will take a while to update. I rarely have any issues with ASC - the only time I do is during those rare occasions when Arturia’s server is down. Mind you in my case, it could be that I have a script that starts the "NTKDaemonService" service before it starts Native Access, and stops the "NTKDaemonService" service after Native Access has closed. As long as I don't open it during a sale, it's often really pretty quick for me. However if they're giving away a freebie, releasing a new collection, Black Friday sales etc. sometimes it's unstable or really slow too! With freebies, I'll often do whatever I need to do to claim it and then I don't even bother trying to install it until the following week, or so. That approach seems to spare some hassles. Vernon Barnes
Enabling "silent install" in ASC's preferences makes the update process less painful. A wise man on this forum told me this a while ago.
