mjmiller1824
I'm about at the end of my rope. I'm using Sonar 2016 on Steam. I have a drum track that I'm trying to set the volume on. I use the slider in the software. And it reverts. I can use the gain trim occasionally but nothing consistently. I just want to be able to set levels how they sound in my head but they keep reverting to the default. It seems like everything in this software takes 3 times more steps than it should. What should I be doing here.
msmcleod
Two things to check: 1. Have you switched on offset mode by accident? IIRC, the keyboard shortcut was far too easy to accidentally invoke in SONAR - it was removed in CbB. 2. Check you've not created a volume automation envelope:
mjmiller1824
I did set a volume automation envelope by accident, and I don't know how to turn it off.
mjmiller1824
Just looking at the controls you highlighted.
mjmiller1824
And I had loaded the session drummer as multiple tracks based on some tutorial's I'd seen. I've been able to produce a few short things before, but it seems like every time I load Sonar I'm lost. Thanks for the help.

mjmiller1824
Thank you! The entire goal of the project I'm trying to do, I've recorded short stuff for video games and such, is to help people sleep better, and I've never had to deal with most of this automated looping stuff before. I'd record 5-15 seconds of analog foley sounds and loop it. Edited November 12, 2019 by mjmiller1824
