Rob Main
Cakewalk is one of my three major DAWs. My main projects are creating MIDI songs for performing. Cakewalk is the ONLY DAW that makes that a very easy task. My problem: In all my other DAWs, fader operation just is a very simple process using "Mackie Control." This is NOT THE case with Cakewalk. I've loaded the R16 drivers and checked the Sonar patch. I'm not left with nothing else to try. I've seen posts where others have got them to work. PLEASE if anyone has a solution or other measure I might experiment with, I appreciate all and any suggestions
Blindeddie
If it works using Mackie Control in other Daws, it should work in Cakewalk, but once to set it up in preferences (Add the Mackie Control and select the Zoom midi ports in and out) go to "Utilities --> Mackie Control" and the Properties page opens up. if you put a check in "Disable Handshake" it should connect the Zoom... I don't have a Zoom, but this has worked for other non-Mackie devices I have that have MCU support. Hope that helps! Peace, Blindeddie
Unarmed Walrus
Ah great, thanks mate ? Looked everywhere for a fix but this has worked. I can now control cakewalk with the zoom8. Thanks Blindeddie.
