Cakewalk by Bandlab won't open. Had it for years

For some reason I try to open my Cakewalk Bandlab which I have had for years and worked yesterday will only go to the logo and search on my screen.  I installed another music program yesteday but it was working fine until today. Should I download it again and reinstall it?  (and how to do that)

If you are trying to use a desktop icon to launch, it may be pointing to an incorrect location.
Try to search the start menu for "Cakewalk by Bandlab" and then RMB to <Open file location> and try to launch the program directly from the Executable file.

The default (for most users) location is in the C:\\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core directory.

Vdist runtimes did not fix. Have completely removed and reinstalled (including deleting all related %appdata% and %programdata% files) and still not opening.

I'm suspecting it is to do with latest Windows 11 24H2 updates. Have submitted a support request.

Did you install the updated Vdist runtimes over the top or did you uninstall the Vdist runtimes, then reinstall them?

Actually looks like, in my case, the Cubase and WaveLab installations of Steinberg's Generic ASIO driver or their newer ASIO driver causes the problem. I've just uninstalled both and Cakewalk by Bandlab is now starting. Have reported this as Cakewalk Sonar (by Bandlab) trial comes up with an error message during the startup process which then seems to ignore the problem driver.
