Figure they'll add the "Catalyst" series - Aurora, Plasma and the coming delay plugin - along with Neutron 5 which is in the works too. MPS4 is still working for me on Sonoma and not upgrading to Sequoia anytime soon. They just released MPS 7 today, but no Aurora or Plasma. Only change is Neutron 5. I hope those who upgraded this past week get the update or else that is pretty crooked. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/music-production-suite.html

If you upgraded, you got a great deal. That's the nature of the beast. We're suckers for this stuff! Bummer that only Neutron 5 was added though. Thought Trash might be thrown in. Probably will do a 7.5 when the delay is released and squeeze some more cash out of us. 🤪 I'll see if they do a deal like that last one and maybe I'll bite - or not. Ya - the $88 upgrade to 6.5 was a much better deal, especially if you dont need Neutron 5. The upgrade from MPS 1-6 to MPS 7 is $209, and I think @Pluto Gabo is correct that the only difference is Neutron 5 vs. Neutron 4, so that's an extra $120 for that difference. Glad I pulled the trigger. For anyone wondering - upgrade from 6.5 to 7 is $99. Hopefully that's it for upgrades for me, as between Komplete CE, Plugin Alliance subscription and occasionally keeping MPS up to date, the amount of crossover products is getting ridiculous. They need one bundle or subscription that just put everything together. Maybe call it "Komplete 'Super Collector's Edition' Collector's Edition Ultimate MEGA XL MPS 1.0"

I hope those who upgraded this past week get the update or else that is pretty crooked Generally when a product is greatly reduced there's a reason for that and it's usually because a shiny new version is just around the corner. Anyone who doesn't realise this is..... let's be kind and say.... a little naïve, but In the past Izotope were in fact pretty generous in granting a grace period for those who had just bought in. It wasn't automatic, you did have to to ask them, which may or may not be something to do with the fact that going by their periodic "loyalty" offers and despite having all the info they needed, they still somehow seemed to have absolutely no idea who owned what already. In my case asking the question meant that I went from whatever version had Ozone 8A in it, to the new version with 9A before I'd even had a chance to really look at v8 which made what was already a very good deal into a great one. I was amazed that they did it TBH. I knew what I was buying, I had already got what I paid for and I was happy to pay that price for it or I wouldn't have bought it, right? As I see it, if they have delivered what I paid for then they have already fulfilled their part of the deal. IIRC back then they basically allowed a new version upgrade to anyone who had bought the older version within the last month. Whether that's the same now that they are part of NI I couldn't say. I guess it depends who's calling the shots these days.

I guess it depends who's calling the shots these days. I disagree when it comes to iZotope or Native Instruments. It's generally better to upgrade at the tail end of a generation...just before a new version is released when the current version is massively discounted. (Despite knowing a new version is right around the corner.) For example, the best time to upgrade Komplete is usually the summer the year after the new version is released, and usually just before the next Komplete is announced / released. So for me, upgrading from Komplete 14 CE to Komplete 15 CE will be done next summer when it's 50% off. (Or whenever the next 50% off sale is, which is generally the following summer.) The question of course is if you absolutely have to have the new products immediately instead of waiting a year. And clearly, this past week's MPS upgrade was the best time to upgrade to 6.5 from almost any other version, and then just ignore MPS 7 altogether since the iteration gap is basically one upgraded plugin that isn't a flagship (eg. Neutron vs. RX or Ozone).

They got what they paid for.

Joya Ali
That’s a solid deal for Music Production Suite 6.5! Getting the full upgrade for $104 from any version is definitely worth it, especially with all the updated tools and plugins they’ve added.
Starship Krupa
Just want to update this topic with a shout to the folks at Plugin Alliance. I didn't realize that the bundle of PA plug-ins that comes with the upgrade was identical to the one that came with 5.5 before I went and blew my registration number at the PA site. I wanted to pass it along to a friend and they kindly responded to my ticket their next business day with a replacement number, no further questions asked. Not a big deal, but they didn't have to do that and could have told me that the bundle wasn't intended to be split up anyway and I would have been fine with that, but they reversed my blunder and my friend was pleased and surprised. Regardless of how often I use the main iZotope components, a hundy well spent for an extra pair of licenses for the Expo 'verbs and some NI FX to mess around with (I think NI's FX are kind of underrated due to being in the shadow of their excellent instrument products). As an upgrade from versions even earlier than 5, it's a fine deal.
