x touch and Extender question

Hi all

I asked for assistance in the sonar forum but not much action happening over there

so ill try asking here...

I have an X touch connected to my computer via USB then from  X touch to Extender via the USB hub

this all works EXCEPT i want the Extender to be my on the left of  the X touch

and control track 1to 8 and the X  touch control track 9 to 16

but it wont do that  it always defaults to X touch 1 to 8  and Extender 9 to 16.

i have recently upgraded my computer but on my old computer

i had the same problem

(and im sure it was someone on this forum that helped me out)...

but i cant remember what i did..ive tried many remedies from google searches but cant work it out..

can anyone help me please?

The easiest way is to add the extender first in the control surfaces preferences, e.g.:

[Bassfaceus]
