User 905133
For $50, I could have gotten 12 IK Sound Libraries I didn't have from IK.** For $30, I can get 6 IK Sound Libraries I don't have from HB. For $15, I can get 1 from HB, **In fact, for $50 (possibly less if they accept jam points on this purchase) I can still get all 12 IK Sound Libraries I don't have with Sample Tank 4 MAX v. 2. See the official IK Versions Comparison Chart. JMO: Depending on what IK synths/libraries you have / want, the HB options might not be your best choice. Consumers of the world, UNITE!!! WARNING TO GASaholics inclined to do impulse buying: Don't be in a rush just because something at first glance looks like a great deal (i.e., too good to pass up). JoeGBradford
Sampletank 4 for 76p UK is a steal though!
kricho
1$ for Sampletank 4 maybe it is a deal. But does it make sense to buy whole bundle if you can get Sampletank MAX for 49$?
Starship Krupa
Yeah....the price is just too close to the $49 ST 4 MAX price. So unless somehow you are missing exactly the instruments in the HB deal you get way, way more for your money by just getting ST 4 MAX. And you may be able to use JamPoints or JRRShop to knock that down a little further. Big fan of $49 ST 4 MAX here, I got it last year and am still discovering useful sounds. Miroslav 2 may not be the absolute best orchestral library out there, but it's great for seasoning pop songs and is a fraction of the cost of just about anything else. For me, SampleTron 2 was the hidden treasure, and Syntronik 2 makes it so that I don't long for any vintage synths.
Jason Neudorf
The $1 entry is definitely worth getting, but I suspect black Friday deals will be better than this.
Brian Walton
Already had Sampletank 4, but got the $1 deal and added it to my account because it was too good of a deal to pass up. (no it didn't add any jam points though)
Jason White
If you use discount code surveyik20 on IK Multimedia's website you should get the price down to $40.00 for Sample Tank 4 MAX V2 (If the code doesn't work when you read this unfortunately it has expired or been removed!) Sander Verstraten
Do all these sales mean Sampletank 5 is on the way which won't look like a Win XP era program?

I expect the UI will change. Perhaps even to Windows Vista level. But yeah, deep sales often indicate a new version is coming out.
joeletters
I think I wouldn't mind at all if Total Studio Max 5 came out in time for BF, including Sampletank 5, Amplitube 6, Tonex 2, Pianoverse and T-Racks 6... $199 upgrade and you can use jampoints. Make it happen Santa edit: in hindsight maybe a Total Studio MAX 4.5 is more likely, and Amplitube 6 / Tonex 2 are next year. Tonex is tied to hardware it would be a massive mistake to abandon the current ecosystem that quickly. Tonex one just hit the market a few months ago. Amplitude offers the Tonex plus effects playground. It feels like they are a ways off to get Tonex plus better than X series effects in one package for all effects. Tonex2 is going to need to be full blown fluid capture tech were it grabs every knob tweak and interaction. Given tonex1 takes an hour for one static capture of an advanced setting on a supercomputer we should be looking at years away. Tonex is hardware and needs to have a long "pedal life" and not be driven like a next version of software to make the old obsolete.
