Dean Willoughby
The "new" Sonar allows my DM4800 to sometimes connect. But most times, it will not. I have no problem with Cakewalk, but Sonar sporadically disconnects. I will be seeking out a new DAW since I am paying for this now and not free any longer. Have been with Sonar/Cakewalk for 20 years.
gustabo
Really? Have you not noticed that CbB is free???
Dean Willoughby
Yes, of course, but there will be no more upgrades and fixes in the future for the free CbB. I need a DAW that will continue to evolve and improve as new tech continues to grow the speed of lightening. If the free version works, why would not the paid version work? gustabo
What did support say when you emailed them?
msmcleod
First of all, are you sure Sonar has fully shut down before starting it up again? Restart your PC if you're unsure. Also what MIDI driver mode are you using?
Dean Willoughby
Yes, fully shutting down Sonar and sometimes restarting computer. Using MME driver mode. Same as in Free Cakewalk. I can open up free Cakewalk and my control surface works fine, but not in Paid Sonar.
