Vocalign 6 Pro

So, here's a strange issue that I'm wondering if other people may be experiencing with Vocalign 6 Pro.

Let's say I have a lead vocal track and a double vocal track each sung independently by the same singer.  

Vocalign 6 is a little different than previous versions, but it's still pretty much the same workflow.  I load it as a region FX on two clips in the different tracks (the guide, and the dub).  In the effect, I set my guide track, I set my doubled track, tweak some options and let it do its thing.

The thing is, ever since upgrading to version 6, I can only do this one time.  If I then go to a different region and do the same thing on a different part of the song, Vocalign never works again no matter what I do.  I have to close and open Cakewalk to get it to work again.

This happens to me if I don't render the clips after aligning them.

This happens whether I render or not.  However, I don't normally render the guide track.  I render the dub and then just remove the plugin from the guide track.  I might try rendering both tonight.

Is there a limit as to how many ARA2 plugins can be viewed on this drop down menu???

If not, are there any know plugin conflicts that prevent full ARA2 plugins from showing

in the drop down menu???

Since it's on sale right now, I've downloaded the demo for this plugin and I find it to be hit-or-miss when it comes to working properly.  Sometimes it just doesn't ever process the adjustments.

Melodyne ARA workflow is basically flawless on the same system.

 

EDIT:   That was all  user error from what I can tell.  Watched a few vids and did some reading.  Actually working very well for me now.

Any videos in particular?  I've been using Vocalign for years, but ever since this upgrade it's been really flaky.

No...you're right.  It's a little flaky.  I don't know how it acted before 6.  But it seems to want to pick its own preset sometimes and not let go of it.  As in...harmonies get moved to match pitch of the guide sometimes, etc.
