Yes, but in addition to the vsti you get the Softube "bonuses":

• The Model 77 modules for Amp Room consist of Ring Modulator and Reverb. With them, you can create unique sounds for guitar and bass in your Amp Room platform.

And the built in reverb, polyphonic aftertouch (set to each layer individually), and a host of other cool workflow improvements and advances.  

It's kinda in line with Softtube being pricey, but usually worth it.  And I love modular, so I'll likely get it.
