Overwriting function doesn't seem to work?

Does anyone have any ideas as to why re-recording tracks on top of existing tracks with the overwrite function doesn't seem to work?

When I playback the updated track, I hear both old and new tracks (which was recorded on the same track/lane).

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Try reuse existing lanes
