Billy86
These markers wouldn’t be for tracks. They would be color-coded horizontal markers, arranged below the timeline, that would indicate, for example, intro, verse, bridge, chorus, verse, etc.
Kurre
Ok. That's not my workflow. Music is when i can be impulsive and disorganized. I'm not going to change that. ?

That's great if you're the Grateful Dead ?, but for me being able to ctrl+shift+page up/down and jump back and forth almost instantly from outro to first chorus to bridge etc--and with markers that I can actually see and that don't fight w/ each other--is in the spirit of maximizing efficient workflow so as to keep it out of the way of inspiration as much as possible. Manually scrolling the screen back and forth across creation looking for sections and/or dealing w/ markers that can't give me quick info at a glance due to lack of color-coding or even at the very least a readable text, sucks. Kurre
It seems i could beat you to it. Scroll vertical to track - scroll horizontal and i know where to go in my track. Done. But...i don't, so far, go back. I don't archive projects. Either i'm happy with it or don't waste time on a losing battle. I suppose i too could forget the build of some old track i had archived for years. I'm not opposing the proposal, just letting my opinion be known.
David Wilde
ditto on STARSHIP KRUPA about wanting the markers with tails that extend down all the way thru the tracks like in Mixcraft, which i plan to switch to.

You know it has to be old if Brandon Ryan is at Cakewalk!
dougalex
When I have live recording with multiple songs, I think I will try adding two "color coded labeling tracks", one for the songs, and one for the song sections.
