neumann u87 mic. It's been a miracle recording with this microphone over the last 20 years using countless other brands and types of mics. i find the u87 is just perfect. a great interface is also key i find. also been using the UA plugins for the first time, and wow they really do add something extra. really enjoying recording with this setup. and wish i had this understanding and knowledge/setup 18 years ago, because the recordings and quality with lower equipment have not preserved them songs well for remastering. But life is always learning.
