Christian Jones Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Hmm, this may be only $9 if you got that $20 gift that some of us got for "buying" Quadravox lol 2
TheSteven Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Question: Aside from the additional 4 voices, what does Octovox do that Quadrovox doesn't?

I didn't get this email, assuming you're saying it's already been sent out. The link is just to the Eventide Website. The links are "personalized", and, if you didn't get your FREE Copy of Quadravox at APD, you most likely won't get the email

But after logging into Eventide, I got the $29 offer by clicking on the 'Crossgrade' button on the Octavox page. 2

kitekrazy Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Mangle Verb is $29. Do I dare start collecting Eventide stuff?
Fleer Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 A year ago you could get Anthology for $80 if you had a few of them.
Michael A.D. Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Is it just me, but I don't think Quadravox sounds very good. I've tried it on varying sources and the harmonizing algorithm they use does not impress me. It just strikes me as a quick way to create a harmony, but that quickness comes at the cost of quality. The best use I could find was to dial back the harmonies so they could be heard very (very!) softly. I appreciate that they offer it as a freebie, but I can't see a use for it. 1 1

Very true and I never use it for creating harmonies, only for creating weird effects. There are much better options for creating harmonies e.g. Harmony Evo or Melodyne. 1 2
LAGinz Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Isn’t it Nectar 2 that has its own algorithm? I though 3 ditched that, in favor of packaging it with the basic Melodyne.

Vernon Barnes Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Think they are nice effects on synths. So far I have only tested them on synth but they can add some intresting things to mono synths in particular. I have not tried them on vocals so I can't comment. 1
