No sound while recording

Hi,I have a question about recording.

If i import audio i can hear it when I play it. As soon as I start recoding a new track , I don't hear the sound from the imported audio

The incoming signal from my keyboard is okay.

Can anyone help me out what I'm doing wrong???

Is the track you are recording to different from the imported audio track?  Make sure you do not have the imported track armed for recording.

Would also help if you mentioned what audio interface/sound card you are using and the driver (ASIO, WASAPI, etc.)

The imported file is a WAv file and not armed for recording.

I'm using a Behringer UMC204HD interface WASAPI Shared driver.

Make sure Input Echo is turned on. Each individual track has one, its the little button that looks like a radar signal with 3 tapered curved lines, kinda like this -)))
