Could it be that Sonar is conflicting with the latest upgraded version of Windows 11?

what paths are you using for your plugins? most commonly used:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VSTPlugins
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins

and then there are the "builtin" ones for DX and MIDI FX. these are not VST plugins.

Sonar is working fine on Windows 11. CW is working on Windows 11. Next is working on Windows 11.

my guess is something in your Windows 11 configuration is not correct or you do not have your plugin paths set correctly.

CW and Sonar will not look at the NI directory unless you add the path to your plugins, although the NI installation typically will put the VST and VST3 plugins into the commonly used one listed above.

the only ones you likely need are the ones i shared previously. the others are typically application program folders and not the plugins necessarily. so maybe start simply - remove the list and start with the shorter one.
