I picked one of these up for a similar price maybe a month ago, but haven't gotten the chance to use it yet. If I remember right: I think it supports the UAD and FabFilter plugins that Mk3 does. Neither mk2 or mk3 support arbitrary third-party plugins. Softube seemed to have done a pretty good job still supporting the previous generation here. I could be wrong but heard some users say you don't lose any functionality you had before if using the new software, you just might miss out on the stuff there is no hardware for, like the OLED screens and buttons for second dynamics slot. I'd been interested in trying a Console 1 and decided to go with the fire sale older version partly because they changed the included software between mk2 and mk3. mk1 and 2 came with an SSL 4000 E emulation, and in mk3 they replaced it with a mix suite. The SSL4k is now available for purchase standalone where it wasn't before, and they made the newer mix suite available for purchase too. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
