Peter Larsen
Hello. I started using Cakewalk today. I've used Bandlab to save bass guitar tracks to playback and share, but Cakewalk is much more complex. My task should be simple. I don't know if I'm doing it right: I have a bunch of Beatles mono CDs. While monaural, the source was a stereo tape machine...long story short, the CD has left & right mono tracks that are identical but do not cancel one another. The result is a barely audible distortion as the two mono tracks are not equal. The Cakewalk question is: what's the best way to select one channel, save it and create a new, truly monaural mp3 file? Glenn Stanton
in the "tracks" menu, select "bounce to track(s)" and use the preset "tracks", channel format "split mono" etc to create 2 mono tracks.
Peter Larsen
Glenn, you're great! Earlier I tried by using the "Channel Tools" fx and centering on one channel, then Processing. But I think your method is the way to go. Many thanks!
