Rick Daugherty
Cakewalk says "ASIO' drivers are recommended. Yet when i try to select ASIO drivers as my option in cakewalk, I get messages that basically tell me to use a different driver. What gives?
OutrageProductions
CbB will throw up a warning against using 'fake' ASIO drivers like ASIO4ALL, Realtek, and other generic drivers that create more problems than they solve. Only use bona-fide genuine ASIO drivers from the I/O device manufacturer. For ex: some low end Behringer interfaces use ASIO4ALL claiming it as a true ASIO driver, when it is not. What is your sound interface, without knowing that we can't help.

Especially the new RealTek ASIO driver which is, um, not good. Say, I knew a Rick Daugherty in Germany in 1971 who is a musician attached to a veteran progressive rock band and went to junior and senior high school with his brother in North Carolina. Coinkydink.
