Wolfe
Update for anyone in the future using old Steam products to migrate the old Cakewalk Sound Center to Cakewalk by Bandlabs. After installing old software (Music Creator 6) through Steam and cut/pasting the VST to it's new location, it worked fine, but I lost my instruments overnight. As it turns out, uninstalling MC6 through Steam deletes important modules that CSC needed to function. After reinstalling MC6 on *the SAME hard drive* as CbB, CSC will display your instruments. Note: You must reinstall all instrument DLC, too. Even though all DLC instruments were pasted into the Bandlabs file directory, the instruments did not appear until I did a full reinstall of MC6+DLC through Steam. You can safely MANUALLY delete the vast majority of the program from within the Steam directory, retaining a single file path as seen below, reducing your hard drive space from ~5Gb to 22Mb: Edited May 3 by Wolfe Solved
