All general midi instruments now sound like piano

Please help! Since trying to install the official Yamaha USB driver, all of the patches sound like piano through the Yamaha keyboard. Does anyone know how to make all the patches work again?

If you are routing pure MIDI tracks to your Yamaha keyboard, either enter Patch Change MIDI events in your MIDI track (the first one being before any notes), or set your MIDI track’s Patch and Bank in order to access more sounds other than the default piano.

It would help to know the model number of your keyboard.  Maybe an instrument definition file (*.ins) might help.  

Your Yamaha keyboard might even support Yamaha XG.
