I am not experienced but have used cakewalk for audio recording successfully on another computer. But when trying to use my Rode AI-1 interface on my new computer, cakewalk would not register a signal (although I could hear it through headphones plugged into the interface) and cakewalk registered the Rode AI-1 as the input device on the track and elsewhere. Just trying to use this caused Cakewalk to lock, act strange, and crash with an audio engine dropout. After several attempts, I tried switching to WDM/KS.
This caused Cakewalk to shut down completely and refuse to open. Since I cannot open Cakewalk, I cannot changed from WDM/KS now.

Hi there,
I am not experienced but have used cakewalk for audio recording successfully on another computer.
Please help!
