J-WESS
Hi friends, The input gain on the channels in Cakewalk only goes to -18, but on the buses, it goes to minus infinity. Is there a way or feature to have the channel input gains go to minus infinity like the busses? I like to set my balances from the input gains at times to keep my faders at zero for higher resolution when I need to make slight balance adjustments or when gain staging. Thank you. John Vere
The easiest fix is to simply Normalize the audio to something you want. Edited March 19 by John Vere
David Baay
Enable Offset mode in the Mix Module and offset the Volume. Volume Offset can go to -INF.
J-WESS
Sorry but how do I find offset mode? Is it possible to post a screen shot? Thank you
David Baay
Immediately to the left of the Read button in the Mix Module. Enable it to set an offset, and then disable it get back to Envelope mode in which mix changes and automation envelopes 'ride on top of ' the offset. When in Offset mode, there are '+' symbols on the controls that can be offset. You need to remember to turn it off after making a change or your mixing will get confusing.
