Patrick Colton Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Hi everybody. I need some advice for this song. It was supposed to be a simple acoustic tune but it became much bigger that that and I would like some feed back. Does everything fit in well? Vocals? Thanks! Tom C.
Patrick Colton Posted March 10, 2024 Author Posted March 10, 2024 Okay, thanks Paulo. Let's try again 3

Patrick Colton Posted March 11, 2024 Author Posted March 11, 2024 Thanks Jack.. I'm going to revisit those vocals and fix that.
Paul Bush Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Really super acoustic sound , love that song , Have you though of de-tuning the guitar a step down , when i play live I always do takes the strain out of it all .still a great song cheers p
Patrick Colton Posted March 12, 2024 Author Posted March 12, 2024 Thanks for the response Paul. I actually placed a capo on the 2nd fret (G position)so I could sing in the way that I felt comfortable. That being said is that I need to re-record some of the vocals and be more relaxed. Sometimes when the "red light" goes on I tense up a bit. I may try to Melodyne but I'm not sure about that. Thanks again!

Love the song.?
Patrick Colton Posted March 12, 2024 Author Posted March 12, 2024 Yes, I will ease on the compression. Thanks!
Wookiee Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I found the vocal a little forward and seems slightly separated from the backing track. are you using a different reverb on the vocal? The overall mix of the backing track is not bad. as noted above perhaps over compressed.
