Bill Pittman
I first made sure that audio would play via the media player and it played fine. After opening a Cakewalk project, I can't hear any sound and I have used this many times. I got it set up a couple of months ago. I can't find any mute that is on or anything whatsoever and far as I know, I didn't change anything whatsoever since the last time, when it worked fine. I open the project and I see the waveforms but nothing plays. It's a new desktop. Bill Pittman
Edit > Preferences > Output Drivers I kept poking around and finally noticed that when I went ^ to that above, the checkbox for my speakers was not checked. How it got unchecked, I dunno (I didn't do it, it just did it on its own somehow, lol), but I checked it and that solved it.
OutrageProductions
I've had several really odd things get changed in Preferences over the years... sometimes from an update to the program, sometimes from a nondescript OS update, and sometimes from no logical causation at all. The latter ones I chalk up to just a random nutrino from the sun intersecting with a storage cell on my drives. Who knows?
Byron Dickens
The only logical explanation for that sort of thing is demons. 1
