Christopher Lindt
So I'm looking for some synth bagpipe to use with cakewalk, I'm not necessarily looking for traditional instruments. I've been listening to some really interesting music that's like punk rock but played with bagpipes over guitar, If I can get something that still sounds like a bagpipe but doesn't drone much and can be played with a keyboard, any help would be appreciated! (this isn't intended to be offensive to people of Gaelic/Celtic heritage)
Glenn Stanton
pretty sure bagpipes were the original punk rock ? i think there are some soundfonts out there and some Kontakt libraries which may be worth looking for. mark skinner
Christopher , Spitfire Labs has a free Uilleann Pipes instrument. (Irish Bagpipes). It has FX and controls for the drones . They sounds pretty decent if you don't pay attention to the main audio sample they use. Watch seperate videos about it. I have real bagpipes hanging on the wall. They're a nightmare to play.. mark
John Vere
If you go to Plug-ins4free and type Bagpipes there is a free one there by Quilicom that is pretty cool. It’s really weird to use so read the instructions https://plugins4free.com/plugin/3296/

Tim Smith
Bolder sounds bagpipes was my go to, still is but apparently they don't sell it any more?? I can't find it in his catalog. Best Service offers some things that would fit well into a single instrument mock up or for a celtic arrangement. I have some of Eduardo Tarilonte's celtic librarys and they are pretty impressive. You may need to download free ENGINE player, especially with his older libraries. Here is one Celtic ERA 2 It's 25 gigs . Maybe something to consider.
