Auld Lang Syne (New Year's 2024)

Happy New Year everyone! In the spirit of the season, here's a new version I did of the familiar holiday classic Auld Lang Syne. Based on a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns, the title essentially refers to the remembrance of times past. As we draw close to the year's end, it is such an ideal time to do just that, and also to reflect on the hope and expectation of things yet to come.

Here's wishing you and yours a fond recollection of the year past, and a happy and prosperous New Year!

Really nice. What am I hearing at 1:32 in addition to the piano? It is very effective.

Thanks so much, appreciate the listen! The other instrument is the Keyscape Harmochord (a  harmochord is basically an electrified harmonium, and uses a motorized blower in place of the bellows). As with all of the Spectrasonics stuff, the sampling/modeling is impeccable!
