On the studio version (Village Recorders, LA), with Beckers rhythm guitar part in the left channel, they gated that thing so hard that you can hear it pumping.

Scuttlebutt was that Jeff Katz had the engineer daisychain two Kepexes on it. (can't prove it tho) ?

Well, no matter... I simply love that song and I actually listened to it on repeat for a solo 3 hour drive in 1999.

And it was pretty pretty fun to do too, even though my vocal is cr@p. Rumor has it that an Alembic Series I Bass was not harmed in this recording of this song.
