asprog
3.8.0- 2023-12-12 This release is a reflection of a larger overhaul the teams committed on to improve the download manager experience behind the scenes. There will be more information on how we addressed it in an upcoming Dev Talks entry. TL;DR: we addressed a bunch of bugs and issues with the functionality, as well as introducing a few quality of life improvements. In addition to this, we’re shipping support to update a new installer type that will allow us to ship smaller-sized updates for products using this technology, making an update feature feel more like an update and less like a reinstall. On top of this, we’re addressing some minor feedback received from the latest Q4 community post, making the banner a little smaller, the light mode installed button state a little easier to read, addressing the false positive file location error, and a few cases where an activated product shows as Demo. We hope that we’ve addressed quite a few issues, and we hope that the installation success rate goes up! Lastly, 3.8.0 officially supports Sonoma. While we’ve done our tests internally, there’s a possibility we need to address issues that might arise. We’re now in a position to do so. Any concerns you have with your experience, please reach out to Customer Support, and we’ll do what we can to address them. ADDED/IMPROVED 3.8.0 officially supports Sonoma operating systems Made the cyber sale banner margins bigger, making the banner a little smaller Improved the contrast in light mode between the Installed button text and its background Added release notes and installation path menu to the Updates page Downloads now resume automatically after you reconnect to the network Queued deployments do not disappear when you close Native Access (They do when you shut down your computer or quit the NTK Daemon). Improved how we manage queued products Improved performance on reordering queued items Adjusted some messaging in our deployment flow Moved failed deployments to the bottom of the queue Fixed layout of product tiles for small number of products FIXED Resolved an issue where users sometimes saw a file location error in their preferences that was shown as a false positive Addressed an issue where sometimes products that were correctly activated appeared as Demo. Addressed an issue where queued downloads would disappear from the UI exponentially Addressed several download performance bugs Addressed the issue where users who start Native Access with no active NTK Daemon running (despite it being installed) would need to reinstall the NTK Daemon. Now it starts the installed one up instead. Fixed initial render flash when used in Dark mode KNOWN ISSUES In rare cases when network connection drops a download might get corrupted and need restarting from the start. No user action needed, but download progress slowed. On occasion Clear Queue might leave one item in the queue that then starts automatically downloading. 2
kitekrazy1
This one finally didn't like up to the usual Asshat F'update. It succeeded on 3 systems. I didn't have to delete Asshat and download it from the site.
