Question multi effects pedals and software plugins

I was curious if it were possible to use a multi effect pedal, such as FCB1010, hook it up to Cakewalk and use the pedals to control plugins.

For example, lets say I have a Diezel VH4 plugin on Cakewalk, is it possible to control/toggle it from my multi effect pedal?

Just for clarification: FCB1010 is a midi controller not a MultiFX pedal.
