Dean Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 How you you download and install "Synth1" I don't read Japanese
John Vere Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Where are you getting it from? Try from here that’s where I got it https://plugins4free.com/plugin/245/ 1
Starship Krupa Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Once you've downloaded the .DLL, just drop it into your VST2 plug-ins folder and Cakewalk should scan it and add it to your plug-ins list. If you're going to check it out, I highly recommend also installing the extra patches linked from the site that John linked to. Installing patches for Synth1 is a little clumsy, IIRC, but also well worth the effort.
John Vere Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Navigating the world of free plug ins is fraught with traps and boogie men. I have found Plug ins 4 free pretty safe.
Dean Posted November 24, 2023 Author Posted November 24, 2023 Thank you John and Starship Krupa! I didn't realize that my VST2 file was Steinberg. worked like a charm as they say. 1
John Vere Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 I think you mean it was in the Steinberg VST folder. Many plug ins default to there so it’s a good one to make sure is on Cakewalk scan pathways.
Dean Posted November 25, 2023 Author Posted November 25, 2023 I have been looking for a tutorial for Synth 1 and have found some. But I haven't found one that tells me how to use at the bottom of the synth where it says "1:Initial Sound" and below that "00:". Am I missing something?
