According to Polyend, the Play+ comes with four new built-in synth engines for you to experiment with. The first is ACD, which harkens back to the “golden age of electronic music with its recreation of iconic single-oscillator monophonic analogue synths”.

You can get a new unit for $799/€799, or upgrade from the Play for a price of $399/€399.

Well, there's this whole thing going on online about it being such a minor upgrade from the previous one that people feel a bit ripped off about the price. The backlash even caused Benn Jordan to quit Youtube reviews because people called him out for not addressing it well enough to their liking.
