Plugins say "cannot find any instrument"

Sometimes when loading instrument plugins, cakewalk will say "cannot find any instrument. choose folder." not much to say on that. no clue what's going on . would appreciate some help. - zach

This is the fault of the plug in vendor not Cakewalk.
Some installers are badly done and this will happen. Run the installer again and pay close attention to what the file pathways are. 
Most plug ins, when you get that message, will allow you to browse to the correct folder.
