Not really, it's just different. It does have a few different things IMSMC. I've had it since release, I own everything they have but haven't used any of it for ages, my memory could be a little hazy with the BIAS AMP/BIAS FX thing. There is nothing really wrong with them, and with BIAS AMP/BIAS AMP2 there is a lot of scope for modification which then can be imported to BIAS FX/BIAS FX 2. If you are going in I would suggest you go for the top tier, some were Pro, some where Elite. Mine are all Pro/Elite.

Note that the lofi stuff in the update is only for the Elite version.
