DarkSky Socora FREE

DarkSkyAudio has seen some big changes in the last two months.

We’ve restructured so now it’s just me running the show. To give this change a bit of a wink and a nod, I have released the next evolution of my FREE Kontakt engine. 

Socora LITE features next-gen systems and sonic wizardry that nudge it even closer to the authentic sound and feel of a high-end, hardware analog synth. 

 …and it’s still FREE to download!

I saw that title and I immediately thought to myself --- "Hmmm,  a DarkSky Socora -- that's one of those new delicious Starbucks drinks! I want it right now!" And I clicked, and I'm not going to lie, you know I'm very fond of you Larry, but I was hoping for a coffee and I'm kinda disappointed and the only way to get over it is to go have a coffee.

I just d/loaded it. And it's good. I did a demo of the original Xperiments which they used to illustratethe instrument, and it is very similar. They went off the radar recently. And now it seems to be a one man operation. For a freebie on Kontakt (not player) it has potential with lots of twiddling available.

Generic or not, the "price" for getting the synth seems to be that you to subscribe to their newsletter:

Personally, I'd respect that.

I still haven't got an email from them after many attempts.   I need to stop this nonsense for free stuff and move on.

No. You need Kontakt Full in Version 6.7.1 and above.
