If you want to play sounds that comes with a plugin or other sound generating software installed on your computer, then you do it the way Will said, using a MIDI (DIN) or USB cable, depending on available outputs or your keyboard. If you, on the other hand, want to record sounds that are generated inside your keyboard, then you must connect your keyboard to your computer using audio cables.
