ralfrobert Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Anyone got experience with their plugins? This looks like an interesting catalogue to get vintage effects from.

I have made an exhaustive comparison with the Pultec from UA and even with the Vintage EQ-1A from IK and it really sounds very good ? Edited September 25, 2023 by JT music 1
ralfrobert Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 This one looks interesting, too. https://redrocksound.pro/en/uniq/ If it works, it can replace all the vintage plugins. Without the nice GUIs, though. 1

Without the nice GUIs, though. Seems like the same promise as MautodynamicEQ and Kirchhoff EQ provide (though I don't the K-KQ has the saturation). MADWQ is on sale for about the same price point and offers more bands or a fair amount less if a new customer and also use referral discount code. Edited September 25, 2023 by Brian Walton
ralfrobert Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 This seems different to me. The Melda one is a transparent solution, and Kirchhoff does not have saturation. UniQ seems to have a collection of all the filters from the classics as well as flexible saturation. Pretty unique indeed.

Pretty unique indeed. Melda has saturation. I agree that Kirchoff doesn't have saturation. Those that have analyzed hardware EQs, the distortion is usually pretty transparent overall.
JT music Posted September 25, 2023 Author Posted September 25, 2023 Hey guys, the question here should only be about a quality comparison of a Pultec emulation ? 2
