But I think you can purshase max for live as a pack with the standard édition. Not shure it is still the case with live 11... I did it with live 9, a long time ago... ? Depending on whether you're recording, producing electronic, mixing more etc you might want to try a demo if you haven't already. I really like Live, but not for everything, so for some things it might be a downgrade from Cubase. As for prices, I think from memory Live discounts tend to be 20% off.
