Sundog 3.5 with preset sharing and package support

Hi everybody,

I just released the next version of my electronic song-writing solution Sundog Song Studio!

With Sundog it is possible to develop new chord progressions, melodies, basslines, and arpeggios within minutes. The standalone composition software connects to any DAW via MIDI.

New in Sundog 3.5.0:

New "Clipboard" menu: "Save to clipboard", "Paste from clipboard". Works with Own Chords collections, patterns, and chord progressions.

"File -> Import FYS package": Load packages with Own Chords collections, patterns, and chord progressions.

Price: $65 / €55. The update is free for all customers.

The demo/update is available at

https://feelyoursound.com/sundog

I also released a free extension package called "Golden Minor chord progressions". It contains 39 ready to use chord progressions for Sundog Song Studio. These progressions are especially interesting for modern EDM and Hip Hop styles.

The package is available at https://feelyoursound.com/packages/golden-minor-chord-progressions/

The following video shows the new Sundog package importer in action. It also shows some ways to use the Golden Minor package:

A big "thank you" goes to the beta testing crew! Thanks to anyone who tested the new version before the public release.

Cheers, have a very nice week,
Hauke of FeelYourSound

I have both Sundog and ChordPotion.

I really like Sundog.  Has very active development, they have been adding new features pretty often.  I was using the beta for this for a while and was impressed with how stable it was and the changes they made.  It's a lot of fun to use. It's not a plugin (drag and drops MIDI very easily), so using it within a DAW is kind of a mess (virtual MIDI cables).  I'm pretty sure I bought it on sale.  I do think it's worth having, though at full price I might hold off a bit.

ChordPotion I haven't used very much, it kind of confuses me to be honest.  I think it has potential but I really haven't fully groked how to work with it.

I've not looked at Melodic Flow though it looks interesting too (even if I have a few other chord/scale keyboard plugins).

I also recommend people check out the chord education stuff they offer up, some nice stuff for free.
