Antelope Audio Synergy Core Native new update: The 4K Series

The first additions to the Synergy Core Native library – the UK Vibe Plugin Series – debut at the end of August. Our engineers have modeled four flavors of EQ and the bus compressor from the '4K' series automated console – a hardware recording system which transformed music production in the '80s and '90s.

Want to use the same EQ as Dr. Dre? The hardware original has been modeled as the VEQ-4K parametric equalizer plugin, in the five variants of the original: black, brown, orange and pink (so called because of the LF knob color). Subtle tonal differences have been faithfully recreated, from the gritty original Brown, through the Pultec-style curve of the Orange. The Black E-Series has extra boost and cut of +/- 18dB and the later G-Series Pink, with 'Bell' switches of the earlier EQs replaced by 'x3' and '÷3' for the mid bands, and LF and HF bands as shelving EQs, have been faithfully modelled.

Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Bruce Springsteen), Tony Maserati (Beyoncé, Selena Gomez) and Mark "Spike" Stent (Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles) are just some of the top engineers who use the original hardware '4k' stereo bus compressor as the secret ingredient to glue their mixes together. Our designers have carefully modeled the characteristics of the VCA-based bus compressor, complete with its .1ms-30ms attack time, famed 'Auto' release setting and Dry/Wet mix control. Now you can use it on your mixes as a native plugin within your DAW and with your interface of choice.
