Last Halloween I tried the creepy one ("Nightfall").  It was either free or dirt cheap.  I did a creepy set using Capsule within Voltage Modular and had speakers set up so music could be heard coming from inside the house.  It worked well as a creepy collection of sounds modified in real time with a Waverley Instruments FX Send/Switcher** and about 3 or 4 FX I was using for the Halloween Improv. Sounded good to me.  I have no other experience with it.

**I had two instances of Gigswitch 8, one for FX (with 3 FX: echo, delay, & freq shift) and one for Synths (with 2 Synths--Capsule & MSF).
