When I delete a plugin it sometimes still shows up in the utility list of plugs. I click to exclude it & get a message it may have been an improper uninstall so it still shows up. Is there any way to clean up the list of plugs? thanks.

(1) Does the plugin have an an installer, and if so do you uninstall the plugin (or do you just delete the file from your computer?

(2) After you "delete" it, do you run the vst scanner?

In plugin manager go to Options and press Reset All button.

That will clear everything and next rescan will not have your plugin on list.

Every once in a while I go into plug in manager and I exclude all the plug ins I haven't been using.

I don't bother un installing them because someday I might want them back.  I might occasionally remove ones I know were real bad news so I won't be tempted. to use them again. But excluding them takes them off the lists and keeps things tidy.

Don't forget that you might have installed 3 versions of the same plug in. The 32 bit, 64 bit and the VST3. Take note of the colour of the name on the list.
