Ticking Noise

Why am I getting ticking noise on imported audio? The tucking slows down when in increase the Buffer In Playback slider.

Did you import a lot of tracks and put a large number of plugins on as well? If so, that could be why you're getting noises, because there isn't enough buffer to handle it. I'm not sure if the sample rate of the imported audio should affect this, because I think Cakewalk automatically adjusts this when importing.

There isn't much info to go on here, and I'm only able to offer what I have experienced when hearing audible glitches.
