[SOLVED] Project-wide automation enable?

I have a project in which automation lanes are being completely ignored. Track, aux track, bus, all ignored. I've just tried with native volume and pan. Other projects work as expected. Is there a project-wide automation toggle or something that might explain this?

Yes, its in the mix module (Global automation playback).

You can enable or disable all automation by clicking the Global Automation Playback button in the Control Bar’s Mix module.

Its the letter "L" in this photo below.
