Danger signs:

• Red glassy eyes
• Drool on keyboard
• Red marks on neck from spouse attempting to throttle purchases by strangulation
• Spending more time updating & maintaining their plugin library than creating music

While there are no cures you can minimize the harm / damage to one so addicted by:

• Telling victim 'Oh man, they have way better sales on that on Black Friday' - then on BF take them to Grandma's house with no internet or WiFi or cell coverage for a prolonged visit.
• Change their PayPal password and change their credit card numbers on a frequent basis.
• Having their or your mother stay on prolonged visit and every time the victim tries to access a computer they come up and ask if victim is watching Porn again.
  "plugins ? ooh that sounds nasty!"
• Institute a policy - new song per new plugin, if you don't like song they have to try again. If you're a **** they'll be forever creating songs to justify the first plugin.
• Block access to Cakewalk forum by setting up a Proxy Server or modifying their Host file.
  Try redirecting site access to https://americanaddictioncenters.org/rehab-guide/12-step

Here's another warning sign I noticed: when you confront the afflicted about their problem and they shout, "Just one more, then I'll stop.  I'll never get another, I promise!"

i mostly stopped buying unless its a crazy price error. trying to cull the options i have at my displace and choices to chose from.
