FreeEarCandy Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Love the way the banjo is following the drum snare. Really nice song. There is a 1 note in the harmonica that is piercing my ear on my end. Its not a big deal by any stretch of the imagination, but if you wanted to polish this further at a later time, I thought you may appreciate the heads up. Single band eq with a narrow Q setting should do the trick. Anyway. Really liked the tune and the feel. Good work! 1
Busker Pete Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 Thanks very much for your comments and suggestion re the harmonica! 1

mark skinner Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Great Job on this ! I Really like the brushes and the relaxed way you sang it. The banjo was Real nice and I like the way you brought some in on the left side for the lead fills. Banjo is sure an under appreciated instrument . Enjoyed it mark 1
garybrun Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Hi Pete. First time I ve listened to one of you tracks. I really like your voice. Gary 1
Larry T. Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 I listened to yours first then Townes version. They're both great. Your version is better musically imho, a different kind of production that respects the original but adds valuable originality???? 1
Rikkie Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Hi Pete, very nice, excellent vocals and instrumentation. Rik 1
Busker Pete Posted June 21, 2023 Author Posted June 21, 2023 Thanks Larry T and Rikkie, much appreciated!
bjornpdx Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 That opening banjo hooked me right away. Really like the laid back vocal style. The instruments all fit together so well too. Great job! -Bjorn 1
Kevin Walsh Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 This is a great take on this song. I'm digging the bajo/drum thing here. The vocal is wonderful and sits perfectly in the mix in a laid back JJ Cale kind of way. Nice reverb throughout. Pure sugar! 1
