Gig Performer not available through Plugin Alliance anymore (Not a Deal)

Under their support FAQs, there's a section for PA customers. That page lists links for files hosted by PA (assumption based on the domain in the links' URLs) for their legacy version installers.

Successfully installed, but can't activate it just yet, as PA's device activation/deactivation service seems to be offline. Or maybe I missed out on another glitch that everyone else knows already 😅

I’ve been trying to reinstall GigPerformer 4 Unlocked for last 2 weekends and it won’t activate. I think activation is broken. Will reach out to Plugin Alliance.

Yup, it doesn't work either online or offline. I wrote to them to ask for the download links (before antler posted them), and they were kind enough to reply with links. I wrote back to ask about the activation issues.

What's worrying in their initial reply was this: "The Gig Performer PA edition no longer exists". Baffling. However their relationship with Deskview ended, I don't get why we wouldn't be able to use (and that includes reinstall/activate if we have to) the version of the software that we bought. If that's the case, I'm done with PA for good. I was pretty lucky so far with being able to move licenses around, and now suddenly this, on top of Sampletekk (another place where your licenses just disappear into thin air).

That should be done with all purchases.  Imagine what it would be like to download and reinstall bloated libraries.

Developers have gotten into a bad happen thinking people don't archive their purchases.  That is the problem with these all in one installers.

This is where NI gets an F in my book.  I never had to pay a download fee that IK use to charge.

As many of use have upgraded to SSDs those HDDs make for archiving using a drive dock.

This is also where Steam versions of games are great compared to Ubi, EA, ect.  You can backup your games and they compress them.

Okay, good news! PA got back to me. For the activation to work you have to use PA's installers. Deskview's don't seem to work, even those posted above for the PA Edition. PA sent me links to the installers, here they are:

They moved to a different server. They have info about it on the site, stating the info on licenses on the previous server has not been lost. But when creating an account on the new server with my old email, I don't see any of my stuff. I emailed them (well, Per?) and no reply yet.

I can also confirm that my issue was solved by using the installers from Deskew did not allow activation but using the links supplied by PA directly did.
