track position marker

What keyboard shortcut can I use to mark a spot on the track while listening to it?

I just use:  M

CTRL+M did not work for me, but M did. How do I delete the marker?

Open the marker view [Alt+Shift+4] and select the desired marker, hit Delete or use the (minus) button in the upper left corner of the Marker view.

Worked here (tested it before posting).  Maybe I have set a keybinding.  (Just checked - I have)

To delete a marker, while keeping the left mouse button pressed on a marker, press delete.

Beat me to it by seconds. [I rarely use that method because chasing Markers down with my mouse takes me too long to zone in on it, and requires both hands... I'm just lazy but faster the other way. LOL]
