Cherry Audio - LowDown - Mood Taurus

Picked this up, it's on sale for $ 19.00. I've had the real deal  and this is as close as I've come across in VSTi format. Sounds really good. I do wish there was a way to limit the key range in the synth interface so you could just use it as a stack instrument.

I have been wanting a Moog Taurus VI for the longest time. Loved the sound since the first time I saw Geddy use one on stage. It really brings the low end. I snapped this deal up. Cherry Audio did an excellent job with their emulation. I love not having to deal with samples. Super easy to do a keyboard split and route the lowest octave to Lowdown. ??

Same here i'm literraly obsessed with this synth (moog taurus) ,, notice that the minitaur has square waves , so it's a plus , also possibility to route external signal (mmm that filter) .

Looking for comparisaon (i finannly put youtube audio and tried different options (lowdown , softube 72 ect )  i forgot why i skipped it last time : Omnisphere and trillian , minitaur and moog taurus osc there as well as superb presets ....

What i like about the cherry is the cpu hit even at 5x os and the quikness to have something usuble ...i then tried my minogue xd module , tried to match , created a superb patche on process , compare and bang boy real osc is real something else , i confess i had the drive at 50 %  hehe  ...

For those habving the Xd , be sure to use the resonnance just to make that 12 db filter feel 18 or 24 , there's a sweet spot (like don't go more than 30% reso)

The moog taurus 3 price is biiiig but this nbad boy is on my list :

By the way i was watching the video and the Taurus 3 operation is like having a mouse in real life workflow lol , select , move , select , move ....ahahhaha

I grabbed the Lowdown as it sounds quite different to any of the others I have from them and I really like the sound.

I also stumbled across a review about Wave Alchemy Bass Pedals which is a Kontakt library and that sounded really good too, so I might even pick that up at some stage for another option.

By the way wafter playing with it (the WaveAclhemy ) , it's super dope , way more capable and fun than the cherry , but i remeber why i'm not using : kontakt crap ....boy no mouse scroll tiny controls ect ..... bravo NI for making a 20 years old soft still looking like 20 years old ....

Yeah I always found it weird that they had some really great sounding products, but then just never updated the UI for them. They can be annoying to use in some ways, so I get the point. At least the sound is good on this one!

Yeah the wavealchemy is superb as all wave alchemy stuff , but to be honest any good Minimoog emu can get you close
